Scope of Practice
“Scope of Practice” describes the area in which a health care provider operates within including procedures, actions and processes. It allows the consumer a frame of reference when choosing healthcare options by understanding what can be expected from a professional trained in a particular discipline.
NAMA established the definitions of the Scope of Practice for the three primary categories of professional back in 2005.
