Sivarama Prasad Vinjamury, MD (Ayurveda), DACM, MPH

Dr. Sivarama “Prasad” Vinjamury graduated from the University of Kerala, India earning a Doctor of Medicine in Ayurveda degree. He then received his Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) and subsequently Master of PublicHealth degree from Cal State Fullerton. Recently, he received the Doctor of Acupuncture and ChineseMedicine degree from Pacific College of Health and Science.

Dr. Prasad is a Professor at Southern California University of Health and Sciences (SCU) teaching traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda. He is the Assistant Director of Eastern Medicine Department and the Director of Integrative and Family Health Services, SCU Health. He provides acupuncture and Ayurveda medicine services at the University Health Center, Whittier. Dr. Vinjamury has over thirty years in clinical experience in integrating Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, and western diagnostic methods to evaluate, assess, and manage patients.

In addition to his teaching and clinical services, he is also deeply involved in clinical research in complementary and integrative medicine (CIM). He has been a Principal Investigator of studies on Fibromyalgia, Hypertension, Insomnia, Cancer and Osteoporosis.

He is also actively involved in American Public Health Association as the past chair of Integrative Complementary and Traditional and Health Practices (ICTHP) section and advocates for TCM, Ayurveda and other integrative therapies for health promotion. He is a member of the board of NAMACB and AAC and is currently the chair of the NAMACB. He is also on the Board of Directors for Food As Medicine Global, and the Co-Chair of Clinical/Educational Working Group of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine.

Cynthia Copple, AD

Cynthia Copple is the author of Know Your Blueprint: The Ayurvedic Secret to Restoring Your Vitality and Passion in 30 Days. She co-founded and and is past-President of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (2000) and also co-founded and is former Dean of the Mount Madonna Institute College of Ayurveda (2006).  She is Director of Lotus Holistic Health Institute which she founded in Santa Cruz, CA, in 1982. She is on the teaching staff of MMI College of Ayurveda and Meru Institute. She loves to inspire others and enthusiastically share the effects of food and lifestyle on health anhappiness according to Ayurveda.

Hilary Garivaltis, CAP

Hilary Garivaltis, CAP, is the principle founder of Ayurvedic Health Education Services LLC, which offers educational and training programs in Ayurveda throughout the United States and Canada. Hilary is the Founder and former Dean of the Kripalu School of Ayurveda, and has more than 16 years of experience in teaching Ayurvedic daily living tools and Ayurvedic therapy techniques. Hilary has served on the National Ayurvedic Medical Association board since 2006 and is active in advancing Ayurvedic medicine through initiatives throughout the United States.

James J Laskin, PT, PhD

James J Laskin, PT PhD, is a Professor of Physical Therapy at the University of Montana and is the director of the Applied Exercise Physiology Laboratory and the New Directions Wellness Center. Dr. Laskin continues to be clinical active as a physical therapist and has an active and varied research portfolio which revolves around issues of physical activity and the prevention/mitigation of secondary chronic disease in those with physical disabilities and chronic illness. Currently he is working on several projects at ICORD investigating 2 novel exercise devices and another project examine the potential of benefits of passive heating on cardiorespiratory health.

Ashlesha Raut is a third generation Vaidya (Ayurvedic Physician) practicing Ayurveda for over 20 years and has been an integral part of the Global Holistic healing community with a mission towards providing a Holistic Path for Wellness and Optimal Health through Ayurveda and integrative medicine. Ashlesha serves as faculty and has taught in multiple Ayurvedic colleges across the USA. Ashlesha has presented research papers in the field of Ayurveda internationally.

HEIDI NORDLUND, AD

Heidi Nordlund has more than 25 years of experience teaching Yoga, Ayurveda and Spiritual Healing. Heidi was born in Denmark and has traveled the world integrating the principles of Ayurvedic Medicine and Yoga therapy.  She is deeply passionate about supporting people to heal at all levels and is actively working towards advancing Ayurveda and Holistic Medicine across the globe. Heidi has mastered ways to connect energetically with people remotely, and is through her unique combination of Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy and Ancient Energy Healing, helping people all over the world to unleash their healer within.

Bharathi A. Venkatachalapathy., B.A.M.S., F.A.I.H.M, YIC


Vd. Bharathi is a passionate Ayurveda practitioner, Speaker and Educator with over 24 years of clinical experience. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), from Bangalore University, India. Bharathi is a Fellow in Integrative Medicine  from the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine. She is also certified in Massage therapy and a Vyasa Yoga Instructor.

Vd. Bharathi has been practicing in orange county for over 16 years and her area of expertise is in managing digestive imbalances, healthy weight management, post oncology integrative care, women's health, fertility issues, stress management, preventive care, Ayurveda detoxification and management of chronic pain.

​She is the Ayurveda teaching faculty at Southern California University of Health Sciences and Mount Madonna Institute. She also teaches Ayurveda introductory course at Keck school of medicine, USC. 

Bharathi is also the co-author of the book “Hepatitis C choices”
